Membership Engagement Representative

As a Membership Engagement Representative at the YMCA, I serve as a key point of contact for members and guests, ensuring a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive environment that aligns with the YMCA’s mission of strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
Along with greeting and assisting Y members and community members, I am responsible for helping members navigate registration/withdraws/finances for the different programs we offer, such as sports, swimming lessons, and group exercise classes, as well as the financial aspect of their membership.
This includes assisting in issuing refunds, and managing the member’s monthly/yearly payments for their membership/programs, as well as storing the member's sensitive financial information.
I am also the person to go to for any and all inquiries about the YMCA and our services, and must be up to date with all new information, policies and events to provide exceptional customer service and assist our club members to the best of my ability!

This job has been so fulfilling! I enjoy getting to know the members of my community and fostering a space that people can feel accepted.

Transportation Coordinator

I managed several email aliases, and performed on the ground parking/traffic direction operations in a corporate office setting! I used these aliases to communicate with Parking Operators at other contracted companies to run parking operations at Google locations throughout the country, and recommend plans and processes to further improve the Parking Experience for the Employees of Google! In addition to communicating via email with other parking companies, my alias' also served as a helpline of sorts for any issues Google employees come across regarding parking, in various cities across the US. My daily tasks also included data management of proxy and ID numbers using Sheets/Excel to grant and revoke parking access, and frequent auditing to ensure allocation of parkers is within terms of the Google lease agreement. My team and I also wrote Standard Operating Procedures and Canned Responses to be used throughout other sites across America.

At Planet Fitness I was responsible for creating a non-intimidating environment for a community of club members. My everyday tasks included signing potential members up, as well as keeping up connections with regular members. I was required to upkeep a clean, disinfected, and organized gym floor. This job taught me a lot about accountability and working as a team, as well as resolving member conflict in a more independent manner. I feel this job has introduced me more to the idea of hospitality, rather than attempting to meet sales goals and learning selling techniques, allowing me to see customers as more individual, more than just a number. This job has also allowed me to put my ASL into practice, as I interact with a deaf guest and their blind spouse on a daily basis.
