  deliverables for Managed Care Provider partners and Housing for Health (HFH) and Office of Diversion and

• Successfully and independently recruited approximately 600 pregnant women for the study from a community
  partner clinic in the Greater Los Angeles Area, LAC+USC, and a private practice OBGYN clinic.
• Conducted in-person study visits that included the collection of maternal, infant, and child anthropometric
  measurements and specimen collection.
• Conducted over-the-phone study health questionnaires for prenatal and postnatal study time points.
• Assisted in participant retention efforts that included event coordination, clothes and toy drives, and mass
  mailings.
• Updated and managed existing Standard Operating Procedures for participant management and data/specimen

  the evidence-based study composed of interpersonal psychotherapy group interventions.
• Conducted field study visits to participant's homes that involved the administration of maternal psychological
  assessments and child measurements to assess academic and social performance.
• Assisted in developing study protocols for field staff, developed data entry spreadsheets in Excel, and translated
  study materials to Spanish.
• Submitted weekly reports on the progress of the study.

Research Assistant for the SMART Moms Study in the Psychology Department at California State University, Long Beach

The SMART Moms Study investigated the association of a cognitive stress management intervention on the reduction of perceived stress and salivary cortisol patterns in a population of pregnant women form a low-income community in Long Beach, CA.

• Conducted participant recruitment from prenatal healthcare clinics.
• Completed over-the-phone and in-person participant health questionnaires.
• Completed home visits to guide participating mothers in salivary cortisol collection procedures.
