Work History

Dispatcher

Dalkia
San Antonio, Texas
07.2024 - Current

I am both the dispatcher and project-assisting handler for the Corrective Maintenance department at Dalkia Smart Infrastructure Solutions. My department prioritizes maintaining street lights that are out, for CPS Energy. I dispatch work to our external crews alongside our contractor, working closely with our senior tech to ensure the days productivity. I close out CPS priority orders, and do research on orders unable to complete. If a light is not repairable for any reason, such as a B.O. transformer/transformer parts, or bad URD (damaged conduit) ext... I will follow the appropriate procedure. I oversee the complex orders from our internal crews and update the stages on the projects from troubleshooting to URD Work. If redesign is needed, another department will then handle the remaining of the project.

My job descriptions are, dispatching priority orders, project tracking, creating special orders like Pole Knockdowns, material ordering, submitting locates to 811 and Saw, and more.

Dispatch Operations Supervisor

T Force Logistics
San Antonio, TX
03.2021 - 06.2024

Working for T Force was such a pleasure. As soon as I started with the company, I knew I was going to be great. It was a bittersweet moment to leave the position and relationship that I’ve built with T Force. I started as a Dispatch Supervisor, overseeing around 25 drivers and routes throughout the day. I was the driver’s first point of contact with our company. I coached the drivers to make sure we meet our company’s delivery service's highest standards. My job description was assisting drivers in the morning with their manifests, printing out labels, reviewing routes, meeting daily requirements, service needs, and answering customer requests with shipping information and status updates. I was placed with many responsibilities, such as overseeing the research route, which includes incorrect addresses, missing suite numbers, access codes, and so forth. I handled the staple returns, damages, and shorts, which I submitted daily through an online portal. As I started to grow with the company, I became the Operations Supervisor for our Advanced Auto customer account. Our Advance Auto drivers serviced San Antonio, Odessa, Corpus Christi, Rio Grande Valley, and Laredo. I had to study the Advanced Auto routes from location to location. When I first received the account, our performance level was lower than 65%. Within three months, our performance level went up to 90%. This was a challenge that I was able to overcome, with high achievement and great recognition. I enjoyed my job to the fullest; being part of a busy industry has taught me great things. Dealing with many drivers can be overwhelming, but through experience and understanding, I have learned to always keep my composure. My job requirements were customer service, dispatching, monitoring routes, and operations.

Dispatch

MTZ Logistics
San Antonio, TX
02.2018 - 03.2021

Being the only dispatcher for a small upcoming Hot Shot business was a rewarding thrilling challenge. The accountability of having the company’s income depend on me was the motive for my success.. I was entrusted with the company's growth, and I took pride in achieving that. It taught me how to work under pressure while enjoying the rush of booking my next load. I had to make sure I was able to multitask while remaining calm. My role as a dispatcher was to book loads across the United States. I filled out carrier packs to build business relationships with brokers such as King of Freight, J.B. Hunt, Meadow Lark, and many more. I kept constant communication between drivers, brokers, shippers, and receivers. I had to route plan, making sure upon delivering, I had another load waiting. Once freight was delivered, I would submit the BOL to our factoring company for payment to process. I built great confidence in negotiating prices with the brokers and making judgment calls. My job skills and requirements included keeping track of payments, route planning, job booking, numerous outbound and inbound calls, communication skills, negotiations, active listening, detail-oriented, and many more.
