Affiliations

  • Author of my book, What Others Can't See, with the ultimate goal of establishing a healthy narrative for teens regarding mental health. Struggling myself with mental health, I figured out how to give back in a way that would be the most effective. Increasing attention on mental health has helped foster a community of deeper understanding. (10,11, 12th grade)
  • Creator and promoter of my own podcast "Convos W/O Filters," where I advocate and educate on mental health. I have had around 20 licensed professionals on my podcast who have helped create a solid foundation for mental health advocacy. (10,11,12th grade)
  • Mental Health Ambassador for my school. A very selective program where only 6 individuals are chosen to get certified in CPR and advocate for students' mental well-being. This comes with learning about each mental health disorder and how to approach each one individually. (11-12th grade)
  • Volleyball Player for NMB and MVA. Engaged in daily practices and weekly games. (9th - 12th grade)
  • Created a website called "What I Learned Shadowing a Neuroscientist," in which I wrote about the usage of all neurological technologies used and why they are used. Teaching those interested in neuroscience about Gamma, Theta, Alpha, Beta, and Delta waves and what each one refers to. Explaining how neurological technologies help move waves into alpha and why alpha is known to be the "optimal" wave. Creating the website has helped me create a effective way students just like me can learn about neuroscience without the need of hands-on experience (although recommended). (11th grade)
  • Maccabi Tzair Madricha where I organized engaging activities centered around Jewish identity; led activities that included arts, sports, singing, and educational sessions; supervised day through night trips, ensuring communal safety and engagement; developed stronger communication skills, patience, and problem solving. (11th-12th)
  • Health Information Project (HIP) an organization that trains high school upperclassman to teach health education to their freshman peers. Led a series of interactive lectures in order to instill valuable knowledge to early freshman regarding mental health. Discarding the negative narrative on mental health. Providing an example for freshman to follow throughout their highschool experience. (11th-12th)
