Although I began my career at Macon Occupational Medicine as a Radiologic Technologist, this company provided me with the opportunity to gain experience outside of Radiology, these experiences are listed below.
-Tracked and reported COVID testing results via daily emails to infection prevention and the management team.
-Received and notified employee's of COVID testing results.
-Followed and communicated daily with COVID positive employees to ensure they were following proper protocol, receiving proper treatment and helped them get back to work.
-Initiated the referral process for primary care patients by collecting and sending all pertinent patient health information to outside specialist offices.
-Tracked the referral process and ensured that each patient received and attended their first appointment.
-Made referral update requests and reported these results to the ordering provider.
-Made and maintained a good relationship with patients and outside specialist offices to serve as a "point of contact".
-Tracked and reported all outside lab and diagnostic imaging results ensuring that the patient had all proper studies done and that the ordering provider received these results in a timely manner.
-Worked closely with Macon Occupational Medicine's CEO, office supervisor and YKK officials to open an Employee Health Clinic on the grounds of YKK which opened in June 2022.
-Supervised daily operations of clinic including: scheduling, referrals, lab orders and results, ordered supplies, kept inventory, while also maintaining a good relationship with YKK officials and recruiting new employees to become patients of the clinic.
-Traveled to many different businesses in the Middle Georgia area to provide on-site services to employees including: bus driver physicals, drug testing, annual physicals, respirator fit testing and many different types of occupational health testing.
-Maintained and created good relationships with company contacts by scheduling on-site services and reporting results to management at each company following an on-site service,
-Ensured that each on-site was properly preformed by transporting supplies, setting up for services, and communicating with staff to ensure proper staffing of each on-site service.
-Filled in for the front desk supervisor during her maternity leave to ensure that the front of house continued to run properly during her leave. These duties included: overseeing front desk staff while also answering phones, checking patients in, registering patients for services, collecting payments and communicating with company contacts to ensure that their employees were taken care of and received all necessary services during their visits.
-Preformed diagnostic imaging on workers compensation employees and outside imaging patients whom were referred to our office.
-Performed COVID, flu and strep tests, pulmonary function tests, TB skin tests, respirator fit tests, audiometric exams, electrocardiograms, drug tests, breath alcohol tests and blood draws.
-Took and recorded vital signs and medical histories to prepare patient's to be seen by a provider.
-Administered injections and medications as ordered by a provider.
-Traveled between all 5 clinics within the organization based on the daily needs of each location.
