Current Roles/Responsibilities

• Develop and drive the data design, ensuring it aligns with business goals and technical requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team and offshore, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
• Collaborate with Solution architects, Product owners , and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solution
• Design and implement scalable, robust, and efficient data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from various sources.
• Develop and maintain data models that meet business requirements and ensure data consistency and integrity.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of the overall data platform architecture, ensuring it meets the needs of the organization.
• Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulations.

Key Projects:

• Perfect Order: Automating and optimizing the suggested order process for retail outlets, leveraging robust data and algorithms to improve both efficiency and retail stock availability.
• Retailer Data Pipeline: Aggregates sales information, competitor data, inventory levels, and media info from various retailers, providing a holistic view of market performance
• Demand Forecast Modelling (DFM) - Optimize and finalize the forecast volume sent to SAP APO system from Profit Optimization Planning (POP) for SC planners
• National Distribution and Tracking (NDT) – Create a fully functioning enterprise Direct Store Delivery (DSD) distribution tracking solution that helps build ACV (share) & close execution voids. NDT provides visibility across the distribution lifecycle & serves as the foundation for commercial KDP data assets.
• Distribution and Availability (D&A) - a standard process to ensure that we achieve the initial distribution and availability we expect, and that we continue to maintain distribution after the initial launch.
• Supply Chain Labor Analytics – Deliver leadership insights into hours worked by all employees who clock in using the Kronos Time Clock system.
• Integrated Program Execution (IPE) – IPE Analytics dashboard is to provide the IBP organization with visibility into how DPSG marketing programs are being accepted by our bottlers and retailers.

Non project initiatives:

• Created the Data Governance standards and Guidelines for SIP(Strategic Insight Platform) and presented it to the entire data and analytics team to implement the process improvement.

•Helped to create the SIP domain model to organize the data in an efficient manner& Participated in workshop to create the SIP security framework.

• Worked on various projects, Oracle Retail Sales Audit (ReSA) Integration, Direct on Stock Ledger (DoSL), RFID data implementation
• Involved in deriving Technical Specifications based on Functional Specifications, Process Analysis, Project management, Coding and testing coordination
• Prepared the design and related technical documents including Mapping specification documents and Source to target mapping documents
• Performed data analysis and gathered columns metadata of source systems for understanding requirement feasibility analysi
• Working with Power Center versioning maintaining the history of objects
• Analyzed business requirements and worked closely with the various application teams and business teams to develop ETL procedures that are consistent across all applications and systems
• Made substantial contributions in simplifying the development and maintenance of ETL by creating re-usable Source, Target, Mapplets and Transformation objects

• Effective 06/01/2009, New York (NY) state has increased the Motor Vehicle (Law Enforcement Fee) annual charge from $5 to $10 per vehicle. The NY DOI will allow GMAC PL to recoup this additional charge from the customer. The NY MV Fee (Law Enforcement Fee) applies to vehicles on NY policies within CTS. The fee applies to private passenger auto (PPA) vehicles including motorized RV’s. It is the system of record for NY business in the Direct and ecommerce distribution channels. This fee would be applicable only for policies with Liability coverage. Policies with Comp only coverage are excluded.

• Involved in application support and maintenance of all the IMR applications (about 30) in various platforms (including Informatica, Teradata, Mainframe, Unix and .Net) Led Team consisting of four onshore and six offshore members to maintain/support the applications and responsible for production support/night batch support call, system/business analysis to eliminate manual processes, systems enhancements per business requirements, and permanent fix for various production ABEND.
• Creating the physical & logical design using ERWIN
• Designing the procedures for getting the data from all systems to Data Warehousing system. The data was standardized to store various Business Units in tables
• Designing and developing Informatica mappings for data loads and data cleansing. Tuning the Informatica Repository and Mappings for optimum performance
• Suggesting changes to the Physical Data Warehouse Model based on the ETL and Referential Integrity gap requirements
• Optimizing Query Performance, Session Performance and Reliability

• Store Only Item (SOI) application allows the users to Create /Update the item which are only sold in Target Stores. This application mainly used to connect (as a bridge) the POL application (Vendor application) to gather Item related information and PRISM Application (Pricing application) to de-scribe pricing strategy for Items and to analysis the Item information in Online. Multiple Users can access the application on their respective roles to create/update item, view report, upload image, approve item and manage the application with administration access. In near future, this application will be enhanced to sell/trade all the Store and Web items in online market.

• Central Inventory Accuracy System (CIAS) was built to replace and centralize all of the specialized Store BLA tasks. The inaccuracies caused by in on-hand values due to data entry were corrected by this system. The second phase of the project was developed to allow processing of defective merchandise through CIAS. I was involved in the both the phases of the project.
• Responsibilities:
• Business Analysis and Requirement gathering. Understanding business needs and implement the same into a functional database design
• Creating the physical & logical design using ERWIN
• Working on Informatica - Source Analyzer, Warehouse Designer, Mapping Designer & Map-plet, and Transformations
• Developing Informatica mappings & tuning them for better performance
• Designing the procedures for getting the data from all systems to Data Warehousing system. The data was standardized to store various Business Units in tables
• Creating Informatica mappings with PL/SQL procedures/functions to build business rules to load data. Used most of the transformations such as the Source qualifier, Aggregators, Connected & Unconnected Lookups, Filters & Sequence Generator
• Creating the reports for different regions and demands for future forecasting
• Creating Models based on the dimensions, levels and measures required for the analysis
• Extracted data from various sources like relational databases Oracle, Teradata and flat files
• Designing and creating Fact tables and Dimensions
• Designing and developing Informatica mappings for data loads and data cleansing. Tuning the Informatica Repository and Mappings for optimum performance
• Suggesting changes to the Physical Data Warehouse Model based on the ETL and Referential Integrity gap requirements
