Guiding Principles

Creating a classroom where all students feel welcomed, safe, and valued is fundamental to my vision. I encourage students to challenge themselves, not to be afraid of mistakes, and celebrate their accomplishments., An engaging environment fosters curiosity and produces lifelong learners. I plan to accomplish this goal by balancing hands-on activities, technology application, group learning, and independent work., Equipping students with knowledge and skills for life is essential. My goal is to foster critical thinking and development of analytical skills through application of learned material to everyday life through the prism of inclusion of all learners., My classroom is a space where students build character traits of integrity, leadership, citizenship, stewardship, and compassion., I see learning soft skills through working with peers is a key part in the character building process. Students with strong cooperative skills become successful adults and leaders in our society., I consider collaborating with the learning community as an important component of professional growth, always looking for new opportunities to improve my instruction and students' engagement.
