Shadowed Dr. Botros, MD, a forensic psychiatrist in the Miami-Dade Forensic Alternative Center (MDFAC). Gained experience in interviewing psychiatric patients, obtaining medical history, and did a patient case presentation as a part of the symposium.
Worked on the research project in Dr. Yanbin Zhang's lab, focusing on studying Fanconi anemia pathway mutations and their potential use in cancer therapy. My project was titled "UNDERSTANDING EFFECTS OF FANCG, FAAP20 AND FANCA OVEREXPRESSION ON BREAST CANCER CELLS GROWTH" and the results were presented as a part of the symposium.
