Football Coach with 23 years of experience in developing athletes of all skill levels into top performers. Proven track record in strategic planning and leadership, fostering team collaboration and personal growth. Committed to enhancing program success through effective coaching methodologies and tailored training approaches.
Over the course of my 13-year career as a Former NFL Player, I've learned that the game of football is continuously evolving. Therefore, as I have embarked on this new chapter as a football coach, I have continued to redefine my teaching methods year to year and understudied various schemes to become successful in every facet of the game. While being provided the opportunity to work with elite veteran coaches who have an increased degree of knowledge of the game, the personal relationships I have gained with each close has allowed me to see the game of football from a different lens. Based on comprehending schematics and strategy week to week this experience has shown me to coach complimentary football and elevate my game with the goals of becoming a defensive coordinator/ head coach.

Subject: Recommendation letter
I had been a college football coach for thirty years. I coached a lot of young men. Many played in the NFL. When I think of all the guy I've coached, two always come to mind. Pat Tillmann and Andre Carter!!! Passion, work ethic, honesty, intelligence, and a love for the game of Football. Andre Carter is a highly intelligent, hard working individual. I was truly fortunate to have been able to watch him at Cal. I would highly recommend him to any organization that he has an interest in. Sincerely, Lyle Setencich

It's my understanding that Andre Carter is a candidate for the minority internship during your 2016 training camp. You simply could not find a better young coach to handle all the important tasks your coaches need to have an excellent camp. I coached the Washington Redskins when Andre was playing Defensive End. He was a great player for us and a great teammate to those we went to battle with every week. Andre was always positive and stayed focused with this attitude whether we won or lost games. Since Andre ended his successful playing career, he has committed to the coaching industry. I invited him to be the d-line coach at last year's East West Shrine All Star game and he did a great job for us -having significant influence on all the NFL hopefuls. I'm all for Andre getting the opportunity to be a part of your football staff during training camp and preseason. Your vets and younger players will get input from a former player who will bring his insight and experience. He will also learn from your staff as he observes and participates, which will help prepare him for his next career: coaching in the NFL. I believe he will be there to learn from and contribute to the proud tradition of your program.
Sincerely, Coach Jim Zorn

Letter of Reference
To whom it may concern, It is with great pleasure that I provide a letter of recommendation for Andre Carter. Andre played for me as I coached the Washington Redskins during the 2006 and 2007 seasons. Andre was a player of high character on and off the field and was always prepared mentally and physically. I am sure Andre would make a great addition to your staff. Some of the attributes I admired about Andre were self-motivated, football smart, team oriented and an absolute professional. Another great thing about Andre was his ability to lead by example; Dre was always the first one on the practice field and the first one in the classroom. I highly recommend Andre Carter for the intern position you have available now and any future full-time positions you have in the future.
Sincerely, Joe Gibbs
