I worked as a program instructor in a one-year civic fellowship for the Close Up Foundation. As a program instructor, I was conducting workshops and historical tours surrounding the history and general functions of the federal government. These tours included student interactions and storytelling in and around Washington, DC, Philadelphia, and Historic Williamsburg.
I taught African and African American History, United States History and AVID I at Thomas Stone High School. I also sponsored clubs and student performance groups designed to build knowledge and cooperative skills.
