A dedicated and dependable professional with a strong commitment to organizational success, teamwork, and achieving company objectives. As a lifelong learner, I am eager to apply my extensive experience and continue growing in a Medical Assistant role to contribute effectively while further developing my skills.
As a Patient Care Technician, my responsibilities included charting for each assigned patient, taking vitals, performing ACCU check tests, and managing tasks such as placing and removing Foley catheters and hep-locks. I also assisted with patient mobility, helping them transfer from bed to chair and ambulating them as per physician orders. Additionally, I supported bedside procedures and provided assistance with daily living activities, such as passing food trays, showering, bathing, and changing bedding. In my role as a patient companion, I ensured patient safety and comfort at all times. I meticulously documented patient charts and supported patient transport. I also played an active role in emergency code calls (CPR) and helped ensure the safety of other patients during such events. During the transition from paper to electronic records, I served as an EPIC super user. As a member of the Hazmat team, I was involved in ensuring proper handling of hazardous materials.
As a Unit Clerk, my duties included transcribing physician orders into patient charts, answering incoming calls at the nurse’s station, and appropriately directing calls to the necessary personnel. I was responsible for paging nurses or physicians when needed and assisted in processing admission and discharge paperwork.
