I am currently a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. I only work as I am needed and have the time according to my children's active schedules.
I have been there for thirteen years and have learned so much, not only medically and technically but mentally and emotionally. The children I work with are often fighting for their lives. Many of them have severe disabilities. Some have been abused and are currently in abusive situations and many are just scared and frightened in the hospital setting or any new environment.
I am a mother of 4. I also care for my 2 nephews as needed and understand the value of love and patience that children need from adults in their lives, including teachers.
I know substitute teachers are greatly needed and I am confident I would be a great fit. All 4 of my Children currently go to Odyssey which would be very beneficial to the teaching schedule.
My job has consistently involved compassion, empathy and patience for children who are sick, disabled and in need of help in many ways
