  • Oversaw two different teams working separately in Okinawa. Composed of 4 couples and four singles who worked alongside US Military to provide complete care for families and young Marines. Our teams worked with the Military on over eight bases and 6 Chapel programs.
  • Recruited and developed local volunteers to help with all programs. Implemented robust communication strategies to keep volunteers informed and engaged, increasing participation in all programs.
  • Teams worked to create robust programs for all ages to meet the community's needs and the military command's priority.
  • Planned and executed successful international service projects for Japan and Cambodia.

  • Started the first overseas Marine Corp Chapel youth ministry program. Worked with families on seven different bases on the island and two schools to create a community.
  • Started with one middle school student and three high school students. Once we passed it off to our team, we had over 50 middle and 60 high school students. Numbers always increase and decrease since 1/3 of the military community moves every summer.
  • Recruited volunteers and led weekly meetings.
  • Co-created Cadence's Internship program. Hosted, planned, trained, and helped recruit summer college students.

AMGA Single Pitch Rock Guide Trained

In Okinawa, my husband (AMGA certified Rock Guide) and I organized rock climbing day trips and team-building activities for young Military personnel, families, and youth. We collaborated with local Military Chaplains to coordinate events for their units.
