Artificial Intelligence
Years of IAM/Provisioning experience

I like to approach any challenge I face with the mentality that I can do anything I set my mind to. I may not know it now but put anything in front of me and before long I'll become the subject matter expert. Through my own initiatives, I have grown into a seasoned IAM Analyst with over 9 years of experience, specializing in end-user security administration, knowledge/document management, and process improvement. I have demonstrated expertise in enhancing security protocols and compliance through innovative solutions like ServiceNow and Active Directory and Identity Vault, leading to significant improvements in system efficiency and overall metrics. Through excellent communication skills I quickly build the rapport and knowledge needed to know who to put together in a room to find a solution that increases productivity without sacrificing the quality of work delivered. I aim to leverage analytical skills and a passion for data integrity to drive security innovations and process optimizations in a forward-thinking organization.

Marketable skills detailed as bullet points and certifications are certainly very appealing when seeking a candidate that will fit the bill as far as role requirements while also being able to fit right in to existing operations but it seems we are losing sight of the valuable skills someone can bring to the table that are not easily identifiable by reading words on a paper. Passion, love and respect for ones craft is so often overlooked. These qualities can come with a motivated, determined and forward-thinking mentality to improve operations with excitement. Candidates that know they have something to prove could be more inclined to be mindful of the work they are putting out and tend to be eager to learn and grow. I could expand upon this and how it relates to me but I don't think I could articulate it as honest and touching as my dear friend and former mentor put it.
"I worked with Andrea at -redacted- and we were each other's go-to in the IAM space. She was never content repeating the same tasks without looking for an opportunity to improve or automate them. She'd start by getting all parties involved into a room (often against their will if they didn't naturally work well together) and document all facets of a process, then asking each party to vent their frustrations, and finally challenging each party to brainstorm how things can be improved.
She's a natural BSA.
While not a programmer, she has a strong and innate technical understanding of systems and processes. I found that with a short ramp-up time, usually just a 60min sit-down or two to explain "why" something works, she was able to quickly surpass her peers.
I think the reason we worked well together is that we're of the same mindset: if I have to do the same thing more than 3 times I'm going to figure out how to automate it. I'm not going to fix the same problems over and over.
Tech can be taught, attitude and aptitude cannot and that's what I appreciated about her. I've been burned by closer friends who've I'm recommended for positions so I'm typically reticent to do so but I'm comfortable with Andrea and have recommended her for positions at my current company. Ultimately they promoted from within (which I can appreciate) but she was at the top of the list. I'm always keeping an eye out for other opportunities for her.
This isn't the most professional thing I've ever said but it's a point worth sharing: Andrea's young and hungry with the drive of a single-income mother who wants to become the best on the team and grow her career to provide for her family. You can't ask for more dedication than that. She's cognizant of, but not hindered by, office politics and her being "new to the team" lets her leverage that into action/results."
Don't let this one slip by.
