Summary

I come from a Latino household, where cultural expectations have shaped many aspects of my upbringing. While these expectations brought both challenges and growth, they played a significant role in shaping who I am today. I’m a highly ambitious individual with a clear goal in mind: to pursue a new form of education in the beauty industry.

I am currently in the application process for the Paul Mitchell School of Beauty, where I plan to enroll in the cosmetology program. This program includes licensure in hairstyling, nail technology, and cosmetology. After completing my freshman year at the University of New Mexico, I made the decision to take a break from traditional academics to build a strong financial foundation and pay for beauty school on my own.

Through this period of self-discovery and reflection, I’ve encountered numerous opportunities that have allowed me to grow—in knowledge, skills, and ambition. I’m now more confident than ever in the path I want to take and understand the steps necessary to reach my goals.

My ultimate dream is to one day own and operate my own business—creating not just a salon, but a community and environment that supports others in finding and pursuing their own passions. I am committed to doing whatever it takes to make that vision a reality.

Work History

Account Executive

New Mexico United
01.2025 - Current
  • I am currently working as an Account Executive with New Mexico United, having been recruited from my previous position.
  • I began this position in early January of this year. In this role, I have gained valuable experience in the sales field, working as part of a small team that fills the stands with thousands of fans each game. This opportunity has allowed me to develop skills across sales, marketing, and communications.
  • As part of the USL League, I signed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), which restricts me from discussing certain non-public information about the club, including "behind the scenes" operations and confidential team matters.
  • I have developed strong communication skills in engaging with supporters and clientele, scheduling appointments, organizing fundraisers, and managing various other operations—all aimed at maximizing attendance and filling the stands for each game.

Lead Sales Associate

Enchanted Botanicals
04.2024 - 12.2024
  • Upon entering this role, I served as an entry-level sales associate, responsible for greeting customers, processing transactions, and ensuring each customer left satisfied with their purchases.
  • By employing a range of thoughtful questions, a welcoming attitude, and careful attention to detail, I was able to build strong personal relationships with our clientele while ensuring that all their medical needs were effectively met.
  • In this new role, I managed all restocking needs from the vault, conducted end-of-day cash counts, coordinated scheduling throughout the day, processed and accepted orders, and assisted incoming customers.

Door-to-Door Sales Representative

Verizon
02.2024 - 04.2024
  • In this role, I served as a door-to-door representative for Verizon.
  • I was assigned a specific area of the city to canvass door-to-door, informing potential clients about nearby updated cell towers and how Verizon's current offerings could best meet their connectivity needs.
  • This provided clients the opportunity to experience the internet and cell phone services offered by Verizon.

Manager on Duty

Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers
02.2022 - 02.2024
  • I began working here as an entry-level associate, responsible for operating the cash register, preparing all sweet treats on the menu, assembling orders, and delivering them to customers.
  • Shortly thereafter, I was promoted to Manager on Duty, overseeing daily operations for most days of the week.
  • In this new role, I gained comprehensive knowledge of store operations, including food preparation, handling equipment, managing product orders, and ensuring proper storage and organization.

08.2021 - 02.2022
  • I began working here to help cover a portion of my housing expenses while attending the University of New Mexico.
  • I was there long enough to complete one call campaign, which involved reaching out to newly accepted scholarship recipients to guide them through the necessary next steps for beginning the enrollment process.
  • In addition, I checked in with new students to ensure they had submitted all required materials before the designated deadlines.

Sales Associate

San Antonio Auto Glass
03.2021 - 08.2021
  • San Antonio Auto Glass is my family's business based in my hometown and has been proudly family-owned and operated for over 25 years.
  • I worked there over the summer to support the business during a transitional period within the company.
  • My primary responsibilities included coordinating our mobile services, ordering and delivering necessary parts for installations, answering phone calls, and handling the paperwork required for each appointment.

Sales Associate

HomeGoods, TJX Companies
02.2020 - 03.2021
  • The store I worked at was a combination of both TJ Maxx and HomeGoods. I specifically chose to work on the HomeGoods side to gain experience in a different area of retail, as I was seeking a more fulfilling role compared to my previous retail position.
  • I initially worked on the sales floor, where I was responsible for organizing merchandise and ensuring all products were properly arranged in accordance with the store’s layout and organizational standards.
  • Eventually, I transitioned to working in the back of the store, where I assisted with unloading delivery trucks and unpacking new merchandise for stocking.
  • I enjoyed working there during my time, but the hours conflicted with my school schedule.

  • I began as a carhop, responsible for taking guest orders and delivering food directly to them in a timely and courteous manner.

In addition to my primary work, I’ve also developed a side venture in hairstyling and makeup I began offering these services in 2018, initially working with friends and family Thanks to their support and word-of-mouth referrals, I was able to turn it into a small mobile beauty service While it’s not yet a fully established business, it has laid the foundation for something I’m actively building I’m currently working on growing my presence through a dedicated media platform to help launch my business here in Albuquerque Since I'm not originally from the area, I'm relying heavily on social media and personal networking to spread the word and showcase my work

This experience has sparked my passion for entrepreneurship and has motivated me to pursue my long-term goal of owning and operating my own beauty business
