Skilled in customer service, event coordination, and compassionate care. I can manage large events, support individuals with special needs, and maintain high standards of service while bringing realism, honesty, and hard work into any environment I enter.
My communication skills are consistently complimented and noticed in all that I do. I was the team captain for volleyball and basketball in High School. I was a part of Student Council, FCA, FBLA, and I was a mentor to elementary students. During Covid, I gave a speech at an open school board meeting about the mask mandate. In college, I have taken and passed public speaking courses. In college I was an RA, which means any concerns I or my residents had, were required to be reported to the higher-ups of residence life and it was my job to communicate those needs. If residents were having issues, it was my job to act as an intermediary and help them come to conclusions through a calm conversation. I worked in a daycare, so I also understand the needs of children and how to properly communicate on a level they will understand. I have also worked with mentally/physically disabled individuals causing me to have to alter the way I say things to them.
I was team captain of volleyball and basketball in high school. I participated in Spanish Club, Mentorships, FBLA, FCA, Student Council, Junior Leadership, Summit Leadership, and more. In each club I held an office at one point or another. I was hired as an RA at Black Hills State University. An RA is a leader, advocate, helpful hand, and caretaker of the halls and the residence within the halls. I was often the person who led group projects, kept everyone focused on tasks, and reminded everyone of our goals as a group. I am the advocate in most situations for my coworkers, speaking up on things they feel need said. I have trained many new hires for a few different jobs.
