  • Update Awards Tracker; provides units and Commanders with the status of all recommended state and federal awards submitted for recognition of Soldier achievements, meritorious service, and retirement
  • Provides quality control recommendations for all submitted awards, recommendations can include review of the form and any grammatical errors and potential changes
  • Also, reviews Soldier's past awards to ensure the recommended award is not duplicated and in the appropriate sequence
  • Ensure all administrative data is accurate and the correct revised form is used
  • Create and process the permanent award order and certificate and prepare the award for formal presentation, ensuring the appropriate medal corresponds with the award certificate and order
  • Process award into Integrated Personnel and Pay System – Army (IPPS-A) and Integrated Personnel Electronic Records Management System (iPERMs) so Soldier records are updated, and Soldier receives any promotion and/or retirement points
  • Performs annual Records Reviews with the Soldier to ensure and verify all administrative requirements and documentation is up to date, both in the physical record and all appropriate administrative systems, which provide the Army, National Guard and State updated deployment and training status
  • Also, provides the Soldier an understanding on current outlook for deployment, promotion, and retirement eligibility
  • Approve Personal Action Requests (PARs) such as Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) changes, additional school course work certification, promotion or reduction changes, adverse action updates, and change of unit assignments
  • Create, review, and complete other IPPS-A and iPERMS transactions such as life insurance beneficiaries' information and delegation are per the Soldier's wishes; emergency contact information is accurate; re-enlistment contract information; retirement points and progression; and promotion orders, assignments and active-duty orders are uploaded

Medical Readiness Non-Commissioned Officer

  • Reports to the Commander, the full Medical Readiness status of over 900 Soldiers in 67th Troop Command for all briefings and command staff meetings
  • Accurate reporting allows the Commander to make data-based decisions on priority of training in the near- and long-term future
  • It also gives subordinate Commanders an accurate picture to assess their unit's medical readiness
  • Responsible for presenting the information according to Army, National Guard Bureau, and local Unit formats for a cohesive picture
  • Track all current formal and informal Line of Duty (LOD) Reports and make sure all LODs meet military standards and are processed within the regulatory timeline and provide quality control input to ensure the subordinate is meeting all requirements
  • Monitors all Non-Duty Related Physical Evaluation Boards, Medical Evaluation Boards, Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) Administrative Retention Reviews for the Major Subordinate Command (MSC) and reports to MSC Commander
  • Serves as the conduit of information on updated guidance and regulatory changes for all medical reports, statuses, and procedures
  • Collaborates with subordinate units on get well plans for Soldiers so they have a clear picture on when the Soldier will be available for training
  • Monitor and report all Soldier Medical Profiles, the documentation that allows Soldiers to be restricted from some physical activities while recovering from injury or illness
  • The reports provide Commanders up to date restrictions on the individual Soldier's ability to get back to full duty status without endangering their health or welfare
  • It also allows Commanders to make decisions on what training the Soldier can participate in without violating the profile
  • Monitors all immunizations and dental statuses for the Troop Command Soldiers and work with units so Soldiers Individual Medical Records are appropriately updated, and their records are edited
  • All records and reports help Commanders determine Soldiers' eligibility to go to Annual Training and ultimately determine deployment readiness status
  • Review all requested medical Exception to Policy requests and ensure Commanders can make informed decisions on training waivers
