I am part of the in-house specialist physicians providing integrated, seamless and patient-centered quality care in five of fourteen locations.

As an endocrinologist and diabetes specialist responsibilities include:

- Analyzing, examining and investigating patients and their medical histories for signs and symptoms of hormonal imbalance.

- Advising, ordering and performing tests and interpreting the results.

- Discussing diagnoses with patients, explaining treatment options, and giving advice on medication and hormonal treatments, lifestyle modification and dietary changes besides other preventive measures.

- Carrying follow-up appointments, monitoring patient progress, adjusting treatment plans and medications, and updating patient records.

- Remaining up to date on current trends, developments and technology.

• Evaluate participants to assess their baseline clinical status prior to enrolling in the Pritikin Longevity Center program
• Weekly re-evaluation of participants to medically guide their Pritikin experience.
• 1-on-1 participant education based on their unique medical conditions with emphasis on Diabetes prevention / care as well as hypercholesterolemia and hypertension control through dietary interventions and lifestyle modifications.
• Lecturer to the medical staff during medical meetings.
• Lecturer to Pritikin participants on Endocrinology related topics including Women's Health and Osteoporosis and Diabetes Lectures.

• General Internal Medicine and Endocrinology based medical practice
• Job duties include attention of walk - in sick visits, scheduled new and established patients IM visits
• Endocrinology patients' evaluation including Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Metabolic Syndrome, Obesity, Thyroid diseases, Osteoporosis, Lipid disorders, Pituitary disease evaluation, Hypogonadism and PCOS
• On call doctor duties twice a year (phone answering service for a week each time).

• Primary care and Endocrinology based medical practice, with emphasis in Diabetes preventive care and Diabetes treatment
• Diabetes and Nutrition education monthly group 'Take control of your diabetes'
• Job duties included daily attention of walk - in sick visits, scheduled patient visits, coordination of Endocrinology laboratory work-ups, as well as diagnostic and therapeutic thyroid outpatient nuclear medicine scans and ablations at Rhode Island Hospital
• On call duties every other week.

• This 10-bed health center located in a small rural town at two hours from Bogota, Colombia counts with two general physicians, two dentists, a bacteriologist and five nurses to perform home visits
• Involved inpatient and outpatient care of adult and pediatric population
• A bi-monthly 'rolling office' for remote rural settlements.

• Since 1956 this 70-bed public hospital annually recruits 3 recently graduated physicians
• Physicians rotate through inpatient and outpatient services including ER, Outpatient clinic, Labor and delivery room, and Pediatrics
• After completing this appointment the Colombian medical license is granted.
