Volunteer Experience

Canaan Baptist Church, Branchville, SC, Director of Praise and Worship and Youth Choir, Counsel young adults in the Youth Department as well as serve as a Mentor., Schedule meetings, performances and practices Praise and Worship Team and Youth Choir. Being the Praise and Worship leader at Canaan Baptist Church has been an immensely fulfilling experience, blending my passion for music with my desire to serve the community. Leading congregational singing and fostering an atmosphere of reverence and joy has allowed me to utilize my musical talents to uplift and inspire others. Working closely with fellow volunteers and the church leadership team, I've had the privilege of curating meaningful worship experiences that resonate with our congregation. Whether selecting hymns, coordinating rehearsals, or leading worship services, I've embraced the opportunity to foster spiritual growth and unity within the community. Moreover, serving in this role has deepened my faith and provided me with invaluable leadership skills, including communication, collaboration, and adaptability. Overall, volunteering as the Praise and Worship leader has been a profound journey of personal and spiritual enrichment, and I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the vibrant tapestry of worship at Canaan Baptist Church.


I volunteer with SC State's Communications Club. This enriching and rewarding experience allows me to cultivate invaluable skills in effective communication, teamwork, and leadership. Through my involvement, I've had the opportunity to collaborate with student members on various projects, including organizing events, creating promotional materials, and managing social media platforms. Contributing to the club's activities enhances my ability to articulate ideas persuasively, as well as, sharpened my proficiency in utilizing digital tools to convey messages succinctly and engagingly. Additionally, serving in a volunteer leadership role within the club has honed my organizational and delegation skills, as I've been responsible for coordinating meetings, delegating tasks, and ensuring the smooth execution of initiatives. Overall, my time volunteering with the Communications Club has been instrumental in fostering personal and professional growth, equipping me with the expertise and confidence to excel in communication-related endeavors among young adults.
