Work closely with engineers in assisting with RF testing of payload and TC&R (telemetry, commanding, and receiving) subsystem for commercial spacecrafts
Use of signal generators, signal analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, and digital multimeters, to test spacecraft components and paths, as well as to certify GSE (ground station equipment)
Managed, tracked, and certified GSE including mixer chassis, amplifier chassis, switch boxes, as well as measuring cables used for testing
Cabled and de-cabled test coax on spacecraft for all test phases
Experience reading block diagrams and drawings to set up test configurations as well as troubleshoot
Actual payload testing done using PTS (payload test system), TC&R rack, and maestro which is a real-time command and control software used for commanding, telemetry, control, and monitoring
Ran RSRE (radiated susceptibility radiated emissions) testing to test for leakage
Most testing done at ambient temperatures
Supported TVAC testing where the spacecraft is placed in a thermal vacuum chamber to simulate space conditions such as vacuum and hot/cold temperatures
Supported near field range which is where testing of the spacecraft is done in full flight configuration with antennas connected and radiating
