Work History

Resident

Danbury Hospital
Danbury, Connecticut, USA
07.2024 - Current
  • I was selected into my top-choice Internal Medicine residency program at a large community teaching hospital located on the Connecticut–New York border. Danbury Hospital serves as the primary medical center for the region, providing exposure to a broad and diverse patient population. I had a great opportunity to gain comprehensive clinical experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, managing 12–16 patients daily and treating a wide spectrum of medical conditions during 45–60 hour workweek. Actively participated in critical care as well as subspecialty services, including cardiology, neurology, oncology, addiction medicine, and geriatric care. As part of a teaching hospital environment, I work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the supervision and mentorship of interns and medical students. In addition to practice training, program provided rigorous academic training, including daily case conferences and weekly lectures delivered by leading specialists affiliated with Yale and the Zucker School of Medicine.

Academic Director

Open Medical University SYNAPSE
Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation
02.2021 - 07.2024
  • I started teaching students in Russia's largest educational medical organization SYNAPSE shortly after I passed USMLE step 1 exam. And within 1 year I was promoted to the position of Academic Director. My working responsibilities included development of curricula and educational materials, recruiting, interviewing and managing faculty, supporting students throughout their educational journey. By the end of my tenure, the academic department expanded to 23 faculty and 10 administrative staff members. This experience strengthened my expertise in management, team leadership, and the implementation of modern learning technologies. Most importantly, it provided the opportunity to disseminate high-quality international medical knowledge to physicians and students across Eastern Europe, Russia, and Central Asia.

Resident

Saint Petersburg State University
Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation
09.2020 - 06.2022
  • I was enrolled in a general therapy residency (internal medicine) in the time of the Covid-19 pandemic. On my first year due to the excessive burden on the healthcare system, I quickly had to become an independent doctor with only a little supervision from senior colleagues. I was involved in comprehensive care for COVID-19 patients six days per week, including history taking, physical examination, diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning, coordination of multidisciplinary care, and medical documentation. I gained hands-on experience in arterial blood gas sampling, non-invasive ventilation (CPAP/BIPAP), and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). On my second year I completed rotations in multiple subspecialties, including rheumatology, hematology, endocrinology, cardiology, and functional diagnostics (ECG, echocardiography, ultrasound, stress testing, and pulmonary function testing). Residency in this conditions significantly strengthened my teamwork, communication, and clinical decision-making skills.

Medical student

Saint Petersburg State University
Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation
09.2014 - 06.2020
  • Completed a six-year medical education program, earning a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree with a strong foundation in clinical and theoretical medicine. Successfully passed USMLE Step 1 and Step 2, obtaining ECFMG certification and validating my medical education for practice and training in the United States.
