• Juan Pollo, 2013-2020, I have shown great work ethic, I was given four raises within a year. In the first three months I was given the responsibility of opening and closing the store. I am well trained with customer service and I have deescalated multiple angry customers to an understanding where we both had a favorable outcome. Also, the owner gave me the responsibility and entrusted me to open and close the money safe when the manager was not working. Now I count the money and do the daily sales report among other responsibilities.
• QuickBooks & E-File, 2018, I was given a simulated business in a training course. I had to track sales, complete journal entries, make bank deposits and reconcile the account. I also had to file the taxes for the business. I also learned to file taxes for workers and a corporation.
• Frito Lays, Current, My current role at Frito Lays is in the sanitation department. Although the job is polar opposite from an office job, it does have the same responsibilities. My responsibilities are to clean the machinery used to cook and season the chips. Attention to detail is vital because we cannot leave any seasoning due to allergens. In order to ensure the equipment is completely clean I make a mental checklist and prioritize each task to clean the equipment efficiently and effectively. We are trained to use hazard chemicals from soap to acid, and trained to operate heavy machinery like man lifts and forklifts. Although we are a team each person is responsible for their section and are liable for that section to be spotless.
