- At GSC I work as a line worker/ material handler and as a product hopper filler
- Made sure to follow necessary quality specifications such as hair nets, beard nets and aprons or even safety glasses, arm sleeves when needed
- Working as a line worker involves doing many different tasks involving bottles or tubes
- You can be packing tube/bottle into small box then closing them or even making the boxes that are used to pack
- There’s positions where your reassuring bottles are clean and that it has been coded evenly and clearly
- You can be applying a cap or lid to the bottle while making sure you wear necessary arm sleeves
- There’s always someone labeling and sealing the boxes and placing them onto their designated pallets
- In short terms each batch has bottles that are filled, capped, coded, labels, boxed. palletized and shipped
- Each batch can be packaged an shipped completely differently so we have to make sure we follow the instructions of our lines lead
- I was also assigned to be a product hopper filler where my tasks change
- One of the tasks for being a hopper filler is to move components and barrels of product such as lotion or soap to their designated lines
- All components or product always had to be reassured by Quality Control before use
- As a filler I was put to assemble a pump which was used to fill product into either a hopper or filling machine, the pump was always to be washed and sanitized after each and every use but also optional depending on how much is product is being used you can use a bucket
- I always had to made sure the hopper was was always filled never to be emptied for it can affect the weight of the bottle
- As a filler I’m not assigned to the line but I do my best to assist the line by providing there boxes, caps, bottles, etc
- Operated electric and manual pallet jacks to efficiently move materials within warehouse

- At Crate and Barrel I was maintaining four different line that had 10 different packer and pickers
- The picker packers would rely on me to do different tasks
- Box totes where used to move material items from the warehouse to the picker packers by line
- These totes came down the line where the packers would stack aside after packing their order
- I will then go down the four line stacking and collecting these box totes onto a hand dolly because the stack get heavy after each stack
- Moved each stack of totes to carry out zone where I dropped them off for reuse
- The packers also had individual trash bins which filled up of boxes, paper and bubble wrap, I had to make sure they where emptied
- The four line had 5 sections where 10 different people packed and they each had bubble wrap machines that where used to pack, which I had to make sure where refilled
- Always made sure to be safe with the bubble wrap machine the rolls can catch on to anything loose
- The packers had racks of specifically sized boxes that I made sure where always filled
- If their label machines they used to print out labels was out of ink or malfunctioned I would help fix and replenish it
- Operated Electric and manual pallet jacks for efficient material handling
- Loaded and unloaded delivery trucks while following safety protocols
- Stacked boxes from trucks onto differently staged pallets the scanned and wrapped the pallets

- Ensured safety protocols were followed at all times while operating machinery
- Received and tracked incoming inventory shipments
- Operated scanners, computers, and other equipment to track order
- Built pallets up to 85”, then wrapped with plastic wrap
- Each pallet had up to 115 individual boxes that had to be scanned, imported to computer, weighed and measured before its wrapped and shipped
- Printed and shipment labels for different orders and printed shipping labels
- Scanned labels to then be picked within the warehouse
- Made sure the shipping and receiving line I was assigned to stayed clear and clean so I can provide support to the other lines
- Loaded and unloaded Amazon, FedEx and UPS box trucks, shipping containers, and 26ft trailers
- Scanned labels with an Rf scanner, then around the warehouse can be the item that has to be picked then labeled to be sent off
- Worked the individual material handling line, where you had to scan, pick, and back labeled boxes that came down the line
- Always made sure to scan the correct items that where asked to and to always try your best to have your line clear
- Able to stand for more than 8 hours without sitting and being able to lift over 70 pounds.

- Received orders for individual fireworks that where in the line that had to be packed into not static bagged boxes
- Go up and down the line making sure you grab the right firework shells that where put into your box
- Labeled and stacked boxes onto dolly to do be taken do squbbing
- Squbbing is a process where you feed a non active wire into the fireworks that whee filled with gunpowder
- Always follow safety rules especially when it came down to handling and working with the firework shells
- Walk up to 8 hours a day without stop while being able to lift up 60 pounds
- Load and unload material boxes from trailer and box trucks under hot conditions
- Managed to operate sit down forklift to do necessary tasks such as removing and dumping box bins in to trash containers
