With a proven track record at Knapheide Truck Equipment, I excel in inventory control and staff management, significantly enhancing productivity rates. My expertise in stock control and employee motivation, coupled with a knack for relationship building, has consistently driven operational efficiencies and team performance.
Toby and Doug approached me to come to Quincy as the inventory control coordinator. When I arrived I was asked to get a handle on the problems they had with inventory and organization. I have worked tirelessly to get our inventory under control and run as lean as possible without sacrificing customer satisfaction and lead times.
I was asked to help Doug on the newly created Mechanics Truck Line. I was put in charge of the second line where I hired and trained an entire crew to work productively on multiple builds. We built mechanics trucks and fleet runs. During this time we built RSC, PGE, Amerigas, Hertz, Blueline, John Deer, United Rentals, and many other smaller builds on a progressive assembly line. Our productivity rates where so good that i was asked to travel to many of our other equipment companies to help them set up and run assembly lines in their facilities.
I volunteered to go to West Quincy when the KUV market had slowed and they didn't need 3 shifts. Shortly after arriving I was asked to run the Warehouse/shipping and receiving. I was in charge of checking in all loads and the shipping of all completed builds.
Even though I only had been with the company for 3 months I was asked to take over an off shift because of my experience managing people. I hired and trained a 16 man crew on KUV installation. Within a couple months our production rates were exceeding day shift that had years of experience.
I started my journey with Knapheide as an installer working in chassis prep and set on.
