Students learn best when working collaboratively, as each one as a unique set of familial, social, and cultural knowledge that is invaluable in broadening our understanding of the increasingly challenging world we live in. I will intertwine these assets within my project-based learning curriculum as an English Language Arts teacher in order to successfully guide and support my students' skills of literary rhetoric, evidence-based debate, and independent analysis. These skills, paired with the empathetic community I will forge within my positive learning environment, will prepare students with the power to advocate for themselves and for others once they leave my classroom.
