I started my first 2 years working full time Blood Bank. During these 2 years I expanded my knowledge learning to use Solid Phase testing and Gel testing. I learned how to do patient work up's that included blood typing, Antibody Screens, Antibody Panels, Elutions, Phenotyping, and Warm Autoabsorptions. After 2 years I became a generalist on evening shift learning how the microbiology, chemistry, urinanalyis, coagulation, and hematology departments operate. I continued being a generalist and was promoted to Team Lead of evening shift. As Team Lead I was responsible for managing my staff with any issue that would arise.
