Summary

I would like to take a minute and introduce myself. I have been married to my wife Donna for 28 years. We are parents a of successful and hardworking 26-year-old son that is working as a public employee and 24-year daughter that is a graduate with honors from Virginia Tech land currently enrolled to attend medical school. As parents, my wife and I tried to allow our children the opportunity to be self-reliant and develop into productive adults, but we were always there to gently guide them as necessary. Since 2002 I would volunteer to coach their sports teams whether it was soccer, t-ball, baseball, softball or football. While coaching I used my skills I learned as a police officer and police sergeant to listen to the young people I coached. I let them talk to me without judgement and interject when needed.

From a law enforcement perspective, I have always tried to lead by example. I have many certificates and commendations throughout my 30 plus year career. Based on my training and experience as police officer / police sergeant I have vast experience in juvenile and adult matters both criminal and non-criminal. I am Emergency Response Team as well as Active Shooter trained. I receive continuing education from the Sparta Police Department of all required training as dictated by the State of New Jersey from 2012 to the present date which would include ICAT, ABLE, Domestic Violence, Use of Force etc. In today’s climate pertaining to law enforcement, it is imperative that police and security officers stay up to date on changing policy.

I have extensively worked in the private sector. I have owned businesses which ranged from Sole Proprietorship / Landscape Contracting, S-Corp. / Residential Contracting as well as LLC's for Foreclosure Purchases and Rehabilitation / Renovations Renovations. Most recently I had worked for an engineering company as an on-site inspector for a lead remediation project.
