This barbershop is owned and ran by my father and it was my first taste of what working is like. I picked up some great skills like being friendly and compliant with customers, meeting needs, and all around working with my father. The best trait I picked up from working along side my father as a barber apprentice was my social skills and learning how to translate for my non-english speaking father. Growing up I was always around the barbershop helping clean or with the cash register or even recommending haircuts so when I officially started working there it was nothing new. These skills that I learned here will most definitely help with my future Jobs.

During the summer I had the opportunity to be the sole babysitter of my cousins children for a month while they were on vacation and I picked up some great skills like being a leader and how to communicate with people of all ages. As a middle child I also have younger siblings of my own who I take care of from time to time but this was my first real taste of babysitting and all though I wouldn't describe it as a "job" I still will say that it helped me pick up valuable skills like the ones I listed that I will use for my future job positions.
