  • As the supervisor I have to take disciplinary action when necessary, as well as making sure communicating with management what's going on in the department at any given time
  • As the main dairy shift I make sure the backroom is cleaned to EcoLab standards and the backstock is organized and at a low level

  • As a night supervisor I was in charge of the store by myself; this means making sure coolers were running and doors were always locked

  • Throughout my first two years I switched between checker and courtesy clerk (CC) quite frequently

  • CC my job was to put away shop backs that customers didn't want, bring buggies in from the parking lot, bag for customers, and many other duties for whoever needed my help
  • I was a CC for both opening and closing shifts, for opening shifts I would fill all registers with bags and register tape, I would prepare buggies for the first few customers in the morning along with cleaning any trash from the front porch and parking lot
  • I would help clean trash from trash cans if it was not done the night before
  • As a closing CC I would ensure all buggies are back in the store for the night, I would put boxes of bags in the storage room if they were available
  • Closing CC was the most common time to put all shop backs away
  • As a checker I would run both U Scan and stand alone registers
  • I would help each customer with stellar customer service, scan their products and help bag them
  • I would also clean registers often and do shop backs on occasion
  • On U Scan I would bring baskets back and frequently go to each customer making sure their order is going well
