3 Months- Observed and assisted a professional physical therapist work with patients in a neurologic clinic.
- Observed and assisted therapy of patients with conditions such as Parkinson's disease, ALS, Alzheimer's, Strokes, Multiple sclerosis, and Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo.
- Observed the development of patient-specific home exercise programs, guiding patients on correct implementation to safely achieve goals.
- Observed how to properly monitor patient progress and how to adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Observed how to apply manual techniques and therapeutic exercises to improve range of motion, strength, balance and coordination.
Student Mover
8 Months- Received orders from various departments throughout campus to move items.
- Objects we moved included furniture, desks, large machine parts, bleachers, boxes, and scientific equipment.
- My job was to lift these objects as well as find ways to move them through hallways, staircases, and elevators in order to not damage a wall or the object.
- We would pack these items into a Hino truck and drive them to warehouses or buildings within the campus.
- Arranged items at destination according to customer requests and instructions.
- Strapped items down over protective padding to secure throughout transportation.
Sales Associate
7 Months- My job was to sell sports-related merchandise to customers in the Team Sports section at Dicks Sporting Goods.
- Helped customers locate products and checked store system for merchandise at other sites.
- I was specifically given responsibility of the baseball section within Team Sports.
- At the start of the day I performed a count on the baseball gloves that we had locked up on display and in storage.
- I helped customers try out baseball bats they were interested in purchasing at our on sight batting cage.
- I was in charge of the keys to the batting cage as well as the keys to the case where we keep our baseball bats on display.
- In addition, I would aid the Fitness section in the sales of exercise equipment such as dumbbells, treadmills, and 300 lbs barbell weight sets.
Baseball Camp Supervisor
1 Year 2 Months- I worked with school-aged children teaching them baseball skills.
- We played sports-related games in groups.
- I supervised them during lunch and breaks.
- It was also my job to ensure they were checked out when their parents arrived.
- I recalibrated pitching machines when campers or customers required use of the batting cage.
- Fixed holes in netting of batting cages to prevent injury.
