My first role in IT was as a Systems Analyst at Excel Communications. I authored and administered the company's first intranet site that featured a document upload and collaborative review workflow and quickly became an info hub for the entire company. I used CAD tools to document the datacenter and track changes and provided self-service report generation using Crystal Reports and network monitoring software. This role provided the groundwork for future full-blown application development roles. At NEC, I again set up the company's first intranet site that reached every business org. I set up security features to allow for varying permission levels to facilitate document upload and collab./workflow. I assumed responsibility for NEC's public site (nec.com) and established dozens of new sites for other external bus. Units while providing hosting, security and reporting. After roles at McKesson, Lockheed, and a DFW law firm, I landed my dream gig with Schwab where I had the freedom to branch out into MS Power Platform, XML use, SharePoint administration, PHP, FirstUp CMS, MS Stream, and Oracle database access. My first foray into the Financial Services space provided me an explosion of learning for which I will always be grateful.
