  • Solar Eclipse Impact on Atmosphere with High-Altitude Ballooning, Academic High-Altitude Conference, 09/01/24, Co-led balloon payload design/launch during the 2023 annular and 2024 total solar eclipses. Analyzed atmospheric data (pressure, temperature) at altitudes up to 93,440 ft (-53F). Recovered 4K eclipse footage and validated atmospheric models during totality. Aided in PCB design of payload and programming of teensy 4.1.
  • Detecting Driving Hazards Using LiDAR and AI for Industrial Navigation Robots, SPIE, 06/01/24, Enabled real-time depth estimation and vehicle halting via sensor fusion (simulation + field-tested).
  • 3D Multi-Perspective Depth Detection Using Point Clouds and Machine Learning, SPIE, 06/01/24, Proposed a CNN-based method to fuse RGB cameras and LiDAR for simplified 3D object segmentation. Improved path optimization by translating 2D bounding boxes to point cloud clusters.
