As an engineer for the Verizon PSO Group that supports a designated customers RF engineering and networking needs, we are responsible for developing engineering solutions for the customer that meets the requirements of the customers existing RF voice and data network. This requires us to work hand in hand with the customer, and our other engineering teams to develop solutions for and support the mission critical complex VHF radio network our customer uses to keep their operations running on a day to day basis.

• PTC RF design and implementation to include PTC propagation studies and slot planning through Mentum Planet software
• Member and attendee of a weekly PAC220 meeting where other railroads discuss PTC220 issues/concerns/solutions
• Recently recertified to use PTC Mentum Planet software
• Manage project budgets and material inventories for projects.
• Participate in cross functional teams (RF Engineering, Data engineering, and Deployment personnel) in developing and deploying RF network solutions to the customer

As a radio frequency technician at Landis+Gyr, my job entails the managing and optimization of over 900,000 smart grid endpoints and over 3600 network devices

• Firsthand experience with software testing, quality assurance, configuration and installation of software applications to Jacksonville Electric Authority
• Perform RF maintenance, RF network design, installation, engineering and troubleshooting of smart grid electronic equipment for Jacksonville Electric Authority

My position in the United States Air Force as am electronic communications technician required me to maintain airfield navigation equipment, UHF/VHF radios, and weather systems. My position also involved me becoming a combat weather systems instructor in which I would instruct fellow military members and DoD employees how to properly deploy and maintain deployable weather equipment.

• Performed maintenance, installation, engineering, and optimization of Air Traffic Control navigation (ILS, TACAN), legal recording (ETVS), meteorological systems (FMQ-19); as well as ground to air radios (UHF/VHF), and telephone/ switch hardware and software.
• Drove 1200 maintenance actions on 6.1 million dollars’ worth of equipment and establishing a 99% equipment uptime rate.
• Headed a landing system validation team, priming 38 system parameters to Federal Aviation Administration standards and ensuring the safety of local and transient aircraft valued at 1.2 billion dollars.
• Educated over 200 US military and DoD employees deployable weather equipment such as the TMQ-53 and DASR as a Combat Weather Systems Instructor
