- Sought out, repaired and brought back multiple card level test setups into service that have greatly sped up the troubleshooting process
- Used debuggers and emulators to run failed controllers in debug mode and be able replicate the failures that cannot be replicated on traditional test setups
- Designed and built a 32 Channel Continuity checker to measure continuity on flex cables. The continuity checker uses a MSP430FR2355 processor to simultaneously check the 32 channels and display continuity resistance in real time. This tester is user friendly and has been used by the team to identify many failures.
- The Continuity Checker electrical hardware design utilizes op-amps, analog switches, decoder, MCU supervisor, voltage regulator, voltage divider and an MCU
- MCU is running software written in C language using Ti Code Composer v10 development environment
- Provided engineering solutions for failures caused by hardware and software design defects
- Replaced traditional troubleshooting processing with a more robust system
