Work History

Project Assistant/CAD Designer

Dr. Bruce Mindich
Somerset, NJ
05.2022 - 08.2022
  • Collaborated with a medical professional and interpreted engineering sketches to design and develop 2D and a 3D CAD models for a patent application.
  • Consulted with employer regarding project scope and milestone dates while also contributing to the refinement of the patented invention .
  • Leveraged rapid prototyping techniques, using a personal 3D printer, to create physical models, facilitating better visualization and practical understanding of the design.

Assistant Project Engineer

Maher Terminals
Elizabeth, NJ
05.2021 - 08.2021
  • Using AutoCAD, created a 3D model for a truck bed platform structure which would be installed onto trucks that would inspect train cargo.
  • Insured a safer work environment by running biweekly stress fracture inspections on container trailer wheel axles and tracking the fractures growth. Was able to identify three trailers that needed to have axles replaced to ensure the equipment would not fail.
  • Served a key role in increasing the ports storage capacity by around 600 shipping containers by creating a 2D layout in AutoCAD that was used to paint a container storage area in the shipyard.
  • Used Excel to track and manage the replacement of worn tires for hundreds of machines to ensure the safety of all vehicles in use.

Projects

Carbon Fiber Cylindrical Pressure Vessel (COPV)

Senior Design Project

September-May: 2023

  • Designed and manufactured a type IV COPV that up to 1000 psi with no leaks for under 500$.
  • The mold for the COPV was created in AutoCAD then a 3D printer was used to manufacture the mold.
  • The winding machine we used was created by my group and I in Solidworks then built by hand.
  • Mesh analysis and MATLAB were used to create the coding for the carbon fiber winding machine.
  • The winding code was programmed to an Arduino board that controlled three step motors that directed the winding motion.

Drone Parachute

EOF Program for Engineers

August: 2018

  • Learned important time management skills for engineers.
  • Worked in a group of four to create a basic design and pitch for emergency drone parachute system
which included an altimeter, four step motors, an Arduino board, and plastic parachute.
  • Created basic model and was able to conduct preliminary testing for design that resulted in quantitative data for project.
