Worked as a trip leader for a historic, trip-based youth program based out of Jackson Hole. As a trip leader, was solely responsible for the decisions as they pertained to the trips operating in Jackson. Responsibilities included guiding, parenting, teaching, budget management, and coordinating all logistical aspects of the on-the-ground trip-leading team. With guidance from the leadership team, worked independently to creatively solve problems and guide students to a memorable summer growth experience. Key aspects to the job were as follows:

  • Leading, guiding and educating students: Responsible for the health, welfare and leadership growth of all participants on the program.
  • Budget Management: Provided with a budget to manage all trip expenses of the summer. This included all transportation, activities, food and lodging.
  • Risk Mitigation and Crisis Management: Managed risks for youth throughout the entire summer season. Constantly analyzed activities for their risk as associated with students. Responded to crisis situations appropriately.
  • Logistical: Steward the logistical flow of the entire summer. Logistics included working with subcontractors, confirming lodging and managing transportation including driving students to and from their daily activities.
  • Customer Service: Worked with our customers, parents and children alike, to develop critical relationships ensuring the success of the overall summer experience. Sought to individualize the experience for the unique needs of each and every child and their family.
