  • Corrections Health Initiative Program Supervisor June 2022 – Present As the CHI Supervisor, I am responsible for overseeing the Correction’s Health Initiative (CHI) Program in the counties of Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster. Supervisor responsibilities include Staff Management, Program Development and Implementation, and Contract Compliance. The position is that of a working supervisor - providing direct services within the Correctional Facilities as The Training Officer. I am responsible for day-to-day operations of the CHI Program and for providing oversight, as well as education and prevention programs to incarcerated individuals within nine Correctional Facilities (Otisville, Eastern, Wallkill, Sullivan, Woodbourne, Shawangunk, Ulster, Fishkill and Green Haven) within the NYSDOCCS system.
  • HIV/HCV/STI Tester and Phlebotomist 2014- June 2022 As an STI Tester and Phlebotomist. Using a range of methods, to include Finger prick rapid blood testing; Phlebotomy/Venipuncture blood draw; and Urine sample test analysis, I have provided HIV, Hepatitis C, and STI testing as well as pre and post counselling for a range of people, throughout the Hudson Valley of New York. In addition, I continue to teach sexual health and HIV awareness education programs to individuals, groups, and professionals in environments such as: Correctional Facilities; Jails; Rehabilitation Centers, and Colleges. Currently I produce a podcast series entitled ‘Honestly from HVCS’ that examines a wide range of social issues. This can be accessed on platforms such as Apple and SPOTIFY.
  • Previously, I supervised HVCS’ Syringe Exchange Program (SEP). The SEP Program provides a safe environment where members can benefit from a range of services to include Syringe Exchange; HIV and Hep C – testing and receive PrEP/PEP information and advice; Safe Sex advice; and Naloxone Training. Clients can also enquire about and receive alternative treatment information as well as access recovery programs.
  • Family Planning Association 2003 - 2006 As a Project Training Officer, I developed a comprehensive sexual health and personal development education program specifically aimed at young men and women aged between eleven and twenty-five living in the West/Central area of Scotland; the first of its kind for over fifteen years. This education program was very well received by community-based youth organizations, social work departments, schools, colleges, and drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers.
  • Recruitment Process Development One Plus Social Care 2001 - 2003 Fresh Start 2006 - 2007 Developed Initiative programs designed to make comprehensive training available that offered students, single parents, and unemployed individuals work experience, ongoing supervision, guidance and support, and work qualifications that were recognized by their respective industries. Actively maintained mutually beneficial relationships with employers as well as partnered with and advised academic institutions about the benefits of having students enrolled in their education programs.
  • Media Relations Zadock Pratt Museum 2011 - 2013 Event promotion that includes Historical Research; Marketing; and Public Relations, activities that are integral to the continued development of community involvement initiatives, and in increasing tourism at museum and historical sites throughout Greene County, New York. The role included: Radio interviews (WANC 90.3 FM’s Round-table program, WRIP 97.9 FM, WGXC 90.7 FM), Advertisement Development, Lectures, and Promotional Events Management.
  • Research One Plus Social Care 2001 - 2003 Member of a research/study group assembled to produce a user-friendly computer database, which was made available to the entire student body. Collaborative writer for the student and advisory body, producing guides that were authorized by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) and approved by One Plus’ Directors, Managers, Training Officers, and Assessor.
