Amtgard

I started Amtgard in Feb 1993. It began as a recreational activity. As time passed I learned that there were many more facets. My newly acquired skills would teach me how to mentor youth in a positive direction, teach life skills such as meal planning, budgeting, event planning, cost analysis for events, scheduling for people to be places at different times and even problem solving. I would also learn in later years about peer role modeling, leadership, and how my decisions can have an impact on others as well as my myself and my surroundings. 


I have earned several awards over the years. Several Awards of Arms, two knight hoods and the esteem and gratitude of many that I now consider as part of my extended family 


I am still active in this organization, although raising a family, running a business and life have effected my involvement. Now at this time in my life I find myself single again after 21 years, my involvement will increase as this has provided me with a long standing strong support group that I can lean on during this time of adjustment.
