Work History

Forklift Operator

MillerKnoll
East Greenville, PA
02.2017 - Current
  • Operate forklifts plus overhead crane to complete 8 different jobs, which are rotated weekly.
  • Each job requires scanning and logging inventory in each area. MillerKnoll has a process to follow to ensure we don’t have inventory discrepancies.
  • Parts are then pulled according to work orders we receive from the dispatchers. Once work orders are acquired we use that to determine which part to give to a saw operator or paint line.
  • Before departing each location I count the inventory to match our inventory in data collection.
  • Safely loaded and unloaded trucks using appropriate forklift attachments, reducing the risk of accidents or injuries.
  • Kept warehouse clean and organized by removing debris and returning unused pallets to designated areas.
  • Improved warehouse efficiency by skillfully operating forklifts to move, locate, and stack materials.
  • Wrapped pallets in plastic wrap and attached merchandise tags to prepare for shipping.
  • Operated forklift in compliance with OSHA guidelines and organizational policies.
  • Collaborated with team members to complete tasks quickly and increase overall productivity.
  • Demonstrated versatility in operating various types of forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, and reach varieties, to accommodate different warehouse layouts and requirements.
  • Assisted in training new employees on safe forklift operation, contributing to a stronger workforce.
  • Conserved warehouse space through efficient stacking and placement of materials according to size, weight, and fragility requirements.
  • Kept accurate records of materials moved within warehouse to quickly locate inventory and keep facility operating smoothly.
  • Expedited order fulfillment with proficient navigation of narrow aisles during the picking process without causing damage or delays.
  • Prevented stock discrepancies by performing routine inventory checks using both manual methods and automated systems.
  • Supported inventory accuracy, assisting in periodic stock counts
  • In 2020 I was involved with the Grand Rapids move to EG facility. I went to GR with a small group to assess the inventory that was coming to EG. Once we arrived back to EG we cleared part of 10 warehouse to accommodate everything new coming. The inventory arrived we logged a categorized all the parts, then located in 10 warehouse where we cleared certain isles.
  • I was also apart of the big move from EBC to KDC. I was involved in organizing all the wood and metal that was stored in the EBC facility. We moved all the inventory to be loaded onto flatbeds/trailers, which then were sent to the new facility at KDC
