Andrew Slatten

I am looking for a summer internship to further my knowledge and experience as and international liason to our family Tugboat Company. We hold in ships while they load and unload grain, oils, containers, etc. on the Mississippi River, from Baton Rouge to the mouth of the River. I have worked at Bisso every summer for the last 3 years. Bisso has been in my family for 5 generations and was started in 1890. I am interested in learning about the commodities side of the business at an international level. I currently live in Lugano Switzerland where I study International Management at Franklin University/ I plan to get a Masters of Business, when I graduate, in Switzerland.

I am almost fluent in Italian and studied French last summer in Paris, at the Sorbonne. I am still practicing French through online courses to become proficient in the language. I also studied Spanish was I was in preschool up until my second year in high school. My goal is to become fluent in most of the romance languages.
