• During this period, I worked shift rotation on various gas plants across Scotland, inspecting and constructing electrical installations designed to be operational in hazardous areas, as well as various companies involved in the oil and gas industry
• Hired for charge hand role to oversee operations.
• Gained experience in the construction of sub-sea rigs tailored for offshore oil extraction.
• Completed detailed reports following the supervision of electrical work.

• Shift rotation work to assist in the construction of Europe's largest gas plant on the Island of Shetland, north of Scotland
• The gas plant was originally built in sections in Saudi Arabia, then shipped to Shetland for construction in an 800 person project
• I was part of a team responsible for inspecting all the electrical installation to ensure it was fit for hazardous areas, the equipment had to be flameproof requiring a high standard of installation
• We inspected the equipment and documented our findings, filing reports to remedial teams where required
• Completed daily risk assessment forms to ensure safety.
• Maintained strict compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Promoted to Charge Hand within a year at the company to assist in executing operations.

• Resumed position at former employer due to limited opportunities with last organization.
• Conducted electrical work for military infrastructure at RAF Lossiemouth under MOD directives.
• This project included; glanding and termination of EX, SWA, and MICC cables, explosion proof light fittings and switches for fuel stores, motorised lifting equipment, using schematic drawings, inspection and testing, following a strictly enforced permit to work systems, as well as filling out risk assessments
• The project required working away from home on shift rotation

• I was headhunted by Cablecom when several of my colleagues were loaned out to them due to the lack of work Spie had at the time
• In this position I was the lead Electrician for running industrial contracts and managing those on my team
• I gained valuable skills such as people management; coordinating my team and delegating work appropriately, filling out relevant reports, meeting deadlines, and most importantly ensuring those I am responsible are adhering to the health and safety legislation

• I completed my apprenticeship and was then kept in employment as a fully qualified Electrician training for a supervision role within my company
• Most of this employment was spent working in Diageo factories and various MOD bases across central Scotland, a very industrial setting, where the permit-to-work system is strictly enforced.
• My company had the main contract for electrical and mechanical works for the British military
