  • Maintain all Hospital Preparedness Program grant documentation, audits, and equipment for the Providence Southern California Valley Service Area which consists of Providence Saint Joseph, Providence Holy Cross, and Providence Cedars Sinai Tarzana Medical Centers
  • Serve as Los Angles County Designated Region 10 Disaster Resource Center (DRC) coordinator which includes 10 hospitals, ancillary health services, local Fire and Police departments,Holywood Burbank Airport, and other community partners
  • Update and create department policies as needed
  • Coordinate Mass Decontamination training and maintain decon equipment including 3 Mass Decontamination trailers
  • Plan and coordinate annual, quarterly, and monthly disaster exercises and drills to include annual Regional DRC Decon Exercise, annual Family Reunification Center Exercise and the Los Angles County Medical Response and Surge (MRSE) Exercise
  • Provide education to staff, DRC members, and community regarding emergency preparedness including Stop The Bleed, Active Shooter Response, Workplace Violence Mitigation, and Evacuation.

  • Maintain communication with DRC and Local Health Coalition.
  • Coordinate with local, state and federal agencies to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
