Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Subject Matter Expert

  • Developed a Standard Operating Procedure within company, for use, operation, and deployment of UAS.
  • Tested and analyzed UAS, and manned photography benefits, developing an envelope in which UAS could be understood and employed when manned photography was not the ideal solution.
  • Worked on numerous photogrammetry projects, from county surveying, grain silo yield measurements, aero-triangulation, LiDAR and SAR imagery conferences
  • Oversaw R&D project to develop a 7 camera wide NIKON DSLR payload for manned photography with .85 GSD, and active compensation for aircraft speed, altitude and roll, Allowing the company to do mass county surveying for South Carolina DOT, with aircraft deployment times to be cut in half.
  • Installed, configured and monitored local and wide-area networks, hardware and software.
  • Oversaw growth of market research function, enabling organization to analyze data to identify and anticipate opportunities.
  • Drafted a 90 page 3.3.3 exemption, with FAA officials enabling commercial clearance, for operations of UAS.
