Accomplishments

  • Created northern Colorado’s first Maternity Home as Executive Director of Birthline of Loveland; a home for pregnant women who would otherwise be homeless – orchestrated team of volunteers to choose program model, write Policies & Procedures, staff and operate. Fundraised for capital campaign to renovate and furnish 4500 sq/ft property. Managed the process for moving into the facility – worked with architect, town permitting, inspectors, contractors and subcontractors, recruiting volunteer labor, scheduling, etc.. Increased organizational giving and budget to $273k from $99k/yr. Tripled number of trained volunteers serving in various capacities.
  • Crafted and maintained a $366k federal grant (3 years) as the Larimer County AmericorpsSenior Director through Volunteers of America; while cultivating existing and new partnerships and volunteer opportunities with a diversity of 60+ Larimer County nonprofit agencies.
  • Applied, attended, and graduated from the L3 (Leveraging Local Leaders) Program (2024) in Larimer County where participants learn from local experts about major local issues and ballot measures.
  • Marketed Southeastern University degree options for in-state leadership program and created partnerships with 25 NoCO organizations (churches, schools) to engage high-school upperclassmen.
  • Simultaneously created University Ministries and Young Adult Ministries programs from inception; programs developed and grew to the point of training leadership students, new staff, adult leadership, and student-staff; also produced future vocational leaders from within the program.
  • Designed and implemented (with steering team) 1st annual “Slammin’ Famine” event – a large-scale community service food-pack through Feed My Starving Children. Helped raise over $66k, mobilized 2,500 participants in NoCO, packaged 650,000+ meals for malnourished children world-wide.
  • Submitted and received grant for a 1st annual Tim Tebow “Night to Shine” prom-night for youth/young-adults with special needs in NoCO. Served on steering committee; participants exceeded 225, with 300+ volunteers serving as well as giving respite to 200+ caregivers. Tim Tebow highlighted NoCOs efforts publically in national debrief due to unique, multi-organization approach.
  • Designed, implemented, and completed a capital campaign (fundraising, $30k) external to The Gathering at Windsor church for moving into a new 7-day a week facility.
