Projects and Achievements

Non-Paid
07.1977 - Current
  • Self-motivated, with a strong sense of personal responsibility. This integrity and drive was instilled in me at a young age and is in keeping with the traditions of my people, the Sn'ay'ckstx.
  • Skilled at working independently and collaboratively in a team environment. These skills were essential when assisting to build our community's traditional dugout canoe, now named Snkliptqn.
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations. Not only was this skill learned as a youth on the reservation where resources are scarce, but it was further honed as a leader of soldiers in the Army.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. This is true as both short and concise communications when things need to be done quickly or patient and explanatory when the listener needs to learn the topic succinctly. This has been vital as an ancestral knowledge keeper of my Sn'ay'ckstx people.
  • Worked well in a team setting, providing support and guidance. This has been a vital skill as every individual in a team needs to do their part to contribute to the success of the whole.
  • Demonstrated respect, friendliness and willingness to help wherever needed.
