I take vitals, get patients ready for the day and get them cleaned up. Order trays for the patients, take them to the restroom when needed, do finger sticks for glucose checks, do EKGs, answer any phone calls from patients, turn patients when they are bed bound, make sure patients have proper equipment in there room, calculate the patients intake and output, train new staff and make sure there telemetry is working properly.
I started off in the front desk. I answered calls, scheduled appointments, took payments, handled accounts with collections, got charts ready for the following day, trained new staff. I then transitioned to the back when I received my CNA. During that roll, I gave injections, dealt with prior authorizations, sent prescriptions over to the pharmacy, filled out FMLA paperwork if needed, took vitals, roomed patients, asked the parents questions in regards to child for that appointment, filed paperwork in the patients chart, worked on referrals, and did finger sticks if needed.
I would prep the food for the grill for the day, take orders from customers, make alcohol beverages, take payments when customers were done, swept and mopped the floors, wiped down tables, restocked items as they needed to be, and cooked the meals the customers had ordered.
I was responsible for answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, taking payments, counting the cash drawer at the end of each shift, rooming patients, checking patients in for their appointments, update insurance information, and prepare charts for the following day.
