It emphasizes aesthetic and artistic adolescent development, safe and appropriate uses of materials and resources, and appropriate methods and pedagogy for teaching the visual arts in grades 7-12.

  • This course examines the needs of contemporary students in a society dominated by visual images. It addresses contemporary image-making practices (both popular and fine arts) in terms of how they inform increasingly diverse urban classrooms.
