- Coordinate operations across two medical-surgical units (7 West – 13 beds; 8 West – 15 beds) under shared leadership, ensuring efficient workflow and continuity of care for a combined 28-bed unit.
- Serve as a central communication hub for interdisciplinary teams, relaying real-time updates on staffing, patient status, and unit needs.
- Facilitate patient admissions, discharges, and transfers, ensuring accurate documentation and seamless patient flow between departments.
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and requests, triaging needs and escalating to appropriate clinical staff to support timely care.
- Maintain and manage electronic health records (EHR), including scanning, uploading, and organizing patient documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Coordinate medication logistics with pharmacy, including processing requests and ensuring timely delivery to the unit.
- Assist with transport of lab specimens (blood, urine, and other samples) while adhering to proper handling and safety protocols.
- Oversee inventory management for both units, including ordering, receiving, and restocking medical supplies and equipment.
- Collaborate with Nutrition Services to coordinate patient meal orders and accommodate dietary restrictions.
- Receive and distribute unit deliveries, including medical supplies and patient care items.
- Support infection control efforts by assisting with hand hygiene audits and promoting compliance with hospital standards.
- Troubleshoot equipment and system issues, coordinating with IT and support departments to resolve concerns efficiently.
- Schedule meetings and prepare conference spaces for leadership and staff, ensuring operational readiness.
- Assist patients with non-clinical needs such as meal setup, hydration, and general comfort support.
- Support leadership with administrative tasks and special projects, including updating communication boards, preparing materials, and implementing new procedures.

Provide patient-centered support in a fast-paced clinical environment, ensuring a positive and responsive care experience.
