Teaching math at Santa Fe has given me many opportunities to work with a wide array of students. Teaching, students, and their success is my passion!

Working in the Learning Commons at Santa Fe College, as both a tutor and an academic success coach has strengthened my abilities to collaborate on projects and work together as a team.

Self-motivated individual has a strong ability to work independently at high efficiency. The onset of COVID tested my adaptability, to say the least. Learning Zoom overnight, while also keeping my class on track was challenging. My years in customer service and as an educator, tutor, and academic success coach has taught me to be professional and diplomatic, while still being empathetic to the situation. When trying to identify a student’s needs, asking powerful questions and active listening during the interaction is very helpful and informative. Collaborative personnel dedicated to fostering partnerships with organizations and faculty to further assist students. Caring and hardworking professional with exceptional work ethic and commitment to cultivating productive learning environments to drive student progress and comprehension. Uses simple, approachable communication style to reduce learning barriers and spark trust in teaching process.
