  • As a dog walker, I have mainly worked with one dog, but it has still given me experience. I walk the dog many times throughout the day, and at night too; it has made me very aware of my surroundings to ensure the safety of both me and the dog.
  • I have built a stronger bond with my family's dog through these walks, and I have ensured that the dog has felt comfortable at all times during the duration of the walk. And going through different routes to make sure the dog is exposed to different surroundings
  • Making sure I am prepared for every walk is essential, ensuring I have all required equipment on hand, including treats for positive reinforcement when the dog shows excellent behavior.

  • As an in-home babysitter, I have had to be very attentive and aware when taking care of young children. I have had to learn how to split my attention among multiple tasks when it comes to dealing with multiple kids.
  • Learning how to work with different personalities was a big part of this job; it was difficult at times, but learning how to work with the kids has taught me how to be patient.
  • I had to learn how to engage the kids in different activities, such as playing video games, going to the yard to play, and playing with toys. Even cooking simple food for them at times, they enjoy my company, and I enjoy being able to take care of them.
